Special Counsel - Back - End Construction

We are working with a top-tier national law firm based in Brisbane for a Special Counsel to join their Back-End Construction team.

The Role

The successful candidate will join a Tier 1 Construction Disputes practice advising government bodies, principals and leading contractors on complex disputes across a broad range of projects and infrastructure sectors. The role involves working on high-value disputes relating to civil engineering, transport, energy, mining, oil and large-scale infrastructure developments.

Key responsibilities include managing contentious matters across multiple forums, supporting clients through all stages of dispute resolution, and delivering technically strong, commercially focused advice within a leading projects and infrastructure team.

Essential Criteria

• 5+ years’ PQE;
• Back-end construction law experience;
• Commercial awareness;
• Excellent academics;
• Ability to build upon existing and new client relationships;
• Strong communication skills;
• Team player;
• Technically excellent.
