We’re partnering with a large Queensland Government organisation delivering major digital transformation initiatives, with a growing focus on AI-enabled services, automation, and modern customer platforms.

As part of this program of work, multiple Senior Test Engineer contract opportunities are available for experienced testing professionals who can help drive quality engineering practices across complex enterprise environments — particularly within emerging AI and Large Language Model (LLM) solutions.

These roles will suit candidates who enjoy working at the intersection of automation, modern engineering practices, and AI-driven technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain automated and manual testing solutions across digital platforms and AI-enabled systems
• Develop automated test scenarios to validate AI outputs, decision logic, consistency and accuracy
• Build and improve testing frameworks and quality engineering processes
• Collaborate with delivery teams to design and execute test cases aligned to business and technical requirements
• Analyse user stories, requirements and acceptance criteria for testability and feasibility
• Execute system, integration and regression testing activities
• Contribute to implementation decisions, estimations and solution discussions
• Support CI/CD practices and automated delivery approaches across the project environment
• Produce testing status reports and maintain traceability documentation

Skills & Experience

• Strong experience in automated testing within enterprise delivery environments
• Experience working across Agile project teams
• Knowledge of modern test automation frameworks and CI/CD practices
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
• Ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams

Highly Desirable

• Experience testing AI-enabled systems or Large Language Model (LLM) solutions
• Exposure to AI model validation, prompt/output testing or decision logic testing
• Playwright
• AWS
• GitHub
• Confluent Kafka
• Snowflake
• Domain Driven Design exposure
