The Opportunity & How You Will Make An Impact
We are looking for a Junior Data Analyst to join our Economics & Property – Data, Knowledge & Innovation (DKI) team based in Melbourne.
This is an exciting opportunity for an emerging data professional to work on innovative projects involving data analytics, modelling, reporting and visualisation that support both internal and client-facing initiatives.
Working closely with the broader Economics & Property team, you'll contribute to the delivery of new technology solutions, modernised processes and data-driven insights that help shape strategic decision-making. You'll gain exposure to a broad range of multidisciplinary projects while building your technical capability in a collaborative and supportive environment.

What You'll Be Doing
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Supporting the delivery of Data, Knowledge & Innovation initiatives from discovery through to implementation and ongoing improvement
- Assisting with data gathering, cleansing and quality assurance processes to ensure data integrity and accuracy
- Supporting data analytics, modelling, ETL processes and visualisation activities
- Assisting in the preparation of dashboards, reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
- Collaborating with team members across Economics & Property and other business units on multidisciplinary projects
- Contributing to technical documentation and continuous improvement initiatives
- Engaging with stakeholders to understand requirements and support delivery outcomes
- Assisting with data governance and compliance activities
- Supporting the implementation of innovative technology and data solutions
- Working to project deadlines while maintaining a high level of attention to detail
About You
You are a curious and motivated early-career professional with a passion for data, technology and problem solving. You enjoy learning new tools and techniques, collaborating with others and contributing ideas that create value.
You Will Ideally Have
- Tertiary qualifications in Data Science, Economics, Statistics, Commerce, Computer Science, Mathematics or a related field
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
- Exposure to or understanding of data analytics and visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau
- Exposure to or understanding of programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, VBA or DAX
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
- Spatial analytics capabilities will be highly regarded
