Registered Nurse (Child Health
Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service
We provide a range of community health and support services for children and their parents or carers to give every child the best possible start in life. Services may be offered in the home, or in community health centre and clinics. Care is provided by a multidisciplinary team of child health nurses, health workers and early intervention clinicians (either social workers or psychologists).
Core clients for child health are 0-5 years and activities include:
- Centre based activities, including, health assessments, surveillance, and screening, growth and developmental checks, early feeding support and nutritional information
- Group programs, Universal home visiting program, Intensive home visiting program, Hearing Clinic, The Enuresis program, Immunisation, Infant feeding clinic, First Steps Program, Circle of Security.
- Parenting support (seminars, groups, and individual interventions)
- “Drop in” for short review based at the Gladstone Community Health Centre
About you:
- Current nursing registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- A relevant postgraduate certificate or post graduate diploma desirable position.
- Where the successful applicant does not currently hold this qualification, commitment to completion within an agreed timeframe is expected.
- Proven ability to provide clinical education and support and demonstrate own ongoing professional development.
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with the multidisciplinary team, patients and other stakeholders, including participation in relevant networks.
Total remuneration value of up to $63,930 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $44.06 - $56.51 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
