This is a hands‑on operational leadership role for someone who thrives on accountability, structure and solving real‑world problems. As Contract Manager, you’ll own the day‑to‑day safety, planning and operational performance of fleet and resources—working closely with drivers, workshops, customers and leaders to keep operations running safely, efficiently and profitably. You’ll be trusted to make decisions, respond to change, and lead by example in a safety‑critical, fast‑moving environment.

What you will enjoy doing

• Owning safety on the ground – Ensure drivers, fleet and operations are safe, compliant and fit for purpose every shift, including fatigue management, audits and incident response
• Running daily operations – Plan and schedule fleet and resources to optimise utilisation while meeting customer demand, production requirements and service commitments
• Being the go‑to operational leader – Act as the key point of contact for customers, drivers and internal stakeholders, resolving issues quickly and pragmatically
• Managing change and exceptions – Respond to emergencies, operational disruptions and unexpected demand with confidence and structure
• Driving improvement – Spot opportunities to strengthen safety, efficiency, customer experience and profitability through better planning and decision‑making

What makes you great

• Proven operations or logistics leadership experience, ideally in transport, fleet, industrial or similarly complex environments
• Strong safety and compliance capability, including understanding of road transport obligations, fatigue management and incident management
• Operational planning and scheduling expertise, with the ability to balance safety, service, utilisation and cost
• Clear, confident communication skills, able to influence drivers, customers and leaders without relying on authority
• Resilient and accountable mindset, comfortable making decisions, handling pressure and owning outcomes
