Our newly formed Australian Financial Markets team acts on high-end, high-value and strategically significant transactions for leading global and Australian clients. While this role sits in our Sydney office, you will be joining a globally integrated financial markets team.

The Role

Our Sydney office is seeking a mid-level to senior lawyer to join its Financial Markets team, working closely with Benjamin Downie across securitisation and structured finance. While the role is to primarily support Benjamin, the successful candidate will also have the opportunity to work with the other partners in our rapidly expanding Financial Markets team (Alastair Gourlay and Lewis Grimm) across other areas of banking and finance, including leveraged finance, corporate finance, funds finance, private credit and projects finance.

We are seeking candidates with:

• a strong background in securitisation or structured finance;
• a strong commitment to client service and developing client relationships;
• an excellent academic transcript;
• an ability to confidently communicate with others across the firm and a pragmatic, friendly and down-to-earth approach; and
• a commitment to working in a team.
