About The Role
BRG is seeking a Commercial Support Officer (Level 2/3) to provide administrative and commercial support across upcoming and ongoing Air and Surface programs within Defence.
This role will support contract management and procurement activities, ensuring Defence commercial documentation and contract artefacts are maintained, compliant, and effectively managed throughout the contract lifecycle.
The successful candidate will assist with ASDEFCON contract administration, contract renewals and extensions, and provide day-to-day coordination of commercial documentation while working closely with Defence stakeholders, industry partners, and contractors.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Support commercial and contract management activities across Defence programs
- Assist with the preparation, review, and administration of ASDEFCON contracts
- Coordinate contract artefacts for new contracts, renewals, and extension activities
- Review existing commercial documentation for fitness-for-purpose and compliance
- Maintain and manage commercial records and documentation within Objective
- Support procurement and contract administration processes in line with Defence frameworks
- Liaise with Defence stakeholders, industry partners, and contractors to coordinate commercial activities
- Provide administrative and commercial support across program and project teams
To Be Successful
You will ideally bring:
- 3–5 years' experience in Defence commercial administration, procurement support, or contract management
- Demonstrated experience working with ASDEFCON contracts and Defence procurement processes
- Experience supporting contract artefacts for new, renewal, or extension activities
- Ability to review contracts and identify areas for improvement or compliance uplift
- Strong administrative, coordination, and organisational skills with high attention to detail
- Experience using Objective
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across Defence, industry, and government stakeholders
Desirable Experience
- Background supporting Defence capability or sustainment programs
- Familiarity with the Defence Procurement Policy Manual (DPPM)
- Experience providing commercial support or advice within complex Defence environments
