Interim CFO

We are working exclusively with a fast-growing, manufacturing business in Melbourne seeking an Interim CFO for an initial six-month engagement.

This is a hands-on leadership mandate - you will step into an established business and take ownership of the finance function, driving significant improvement across systems, reporting, controls and financial governance while supporting a leadership team through a critical phase of growth.

The brief

  • Lead ERP implementation and integration, improving financial systems, controls, data integrity and reporting efficiency
  • Oversee month-end reporting across P&L, WIP, intercompany, inventory, KPIs, balance sheet and cash flow
  • Strengthen internal controls, governance frameworks and ensure compliance with statutory, tax, audit and regulatory requirements
  • Drive budgeting, forecasting and financial planning, delivering clear commercial insights to support leadership decision-making
  • Mentor the Operations Manager and broader leadership team, building financial capability and accountability frameworks across the business

What we're looking for

A CFO with a track record in manufacturing, asset-heavy or industrial environments - someone comfortable operating in ambiguous, fast-moving conditions where structure is still being built. Experience in fast-growing businesses highly regarded.

Board-level engagement, institutional investor reporting and regulatory-style frameworks should be second nature to you.

  • Up to $2,000 per day
