Senior Legal Counsel | Commercial Contracts Focus

Most in-house roles talk about variety. This one is built around commercial contracts, with real breadth around it.

We’re working on a Senior Legal Counsel role with a large, complex organisation where legal is embedded in the business and involved early, not brought in at the eleventh hour.

The core of the role is contracts.

You’ll be drafting, negotiating and advising on a steady flow of commercial agreements across procurement, suppliers and operational matters, working closely with stakeholders across the business.

Around that, you’ll also pick up exposure to:

• governance, compliance and regulatory matters

• property and leasing work (as it arises)

• disputes and general risk issues

It’s a hands-on, high-volume role in a team that is busy, well-regarded and genuinely relied on.

About you

You will have 5-10 years’ PAE with strong commercial contracts experience.

• a commercial lawyer in private practice ready for a proper in-house move; or

• an in-house lawyer looking to step into a broader, more embedded role

More important than background is how you operate.

You’ll be someone who can:

• draft and negotiate contracts with confidence

• give clear, practical advice (not just identify issues)

• build relationships with stakeholders across the business
