Bungalow Building Co is a growing residential construction company based in Maroubra with a team of 22 people delivering high-quality renovations, extensions and new builds across Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs. We focus our work within a 5km radius of Maroubra, allowing us to maintain strong client relationships, close project oversight and a collaborative team culture.

We are looking for an experienced Estimator / Contracts Administrator to join our team and work closely with the business owner to help drive the next stage of growth.

This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys combining technical estimating capability with client interaction and project delivery support in a well-established residential building business.

About the Role

This role sits at the centre of our pre-construction and project administration process and includes:

  • Preparing accurate and detailed residential construction estimates and cost plans
  • Reviewing drawings, specifications and consultant documentation
  • Coordinating and obtaining subcontractor and supplier pricing
  • Preparing building proposals, quotations and contract documentation
  • Managing contract administration throughout project delivery
  • Processing variations and monitoring project financial performance
  • Direct interaction with clients throughout pre-construction and delivery phases
  • Supporting project setup, budgeting and reporting
  • Working closely with the business owner on pricing strategy and operational improvement
  • Assisting with implementation and optimisation of estimating and project management systems

About You

You’ll likely come from either:

  • A trade background with strong estimating and administration capability, or
  • Residential construction estimating / contract administration experience

You will ideally have:

  • Experience estimating residential renovations, extensions and/or new builds
  • Strong understanding of Australian residential construction methods and standards
  • Excellent Excel capability (essential)
  • Experience with project management / estimating platforms such as Buildertrend, Procore, or similar (essential)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to confidently engage directly with clients
  • Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
  • Organised and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
