We are seeking a Clinical Nurse Manager to lead and develop the clinical team and to manage and coordinate the delivery of high-quality care for all residents at our Aged Care Home in Gwelup.

Reporting to the Facility Manager and working closely with your peers, you will play a key role in driving the customer experience across the broader Bethanie Gwelup site. You will have many layers of support but also the autonomy to make the role your own.

This is a permanent full-time working 38 hours per week.

The Role

  • Provide leadership for the clinical team in collaboration with the clinical Facility Manager
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality clinical care to residents, which is client directed and in accordance with the Aged Care Standards
  • Relieve the Facility Manager as required, including on–call and scheduled leave
  • Support the Registered and Enrolled Nurses to ensure the delivery of high-quality clinical practice
  • Assess competency of all clinical staff on an ongoing basis (including performance appraisals) and implement the necessary training and mentoring where necessary
  • Establish professional relationships with all new and existing clients and their families to ensure the clinical team provide client directed care
  • Mentor the clinical team to ensure they develop good communication channels with clients and their families
  • Work in conjunction with the Clinical Governance team to ensure the delivery of high-quality clinical services that are in line with the Accreditation Standards and develop action plans to meet identified areas of improvement

About You

  • Current and unrestricted AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Previous management experience within a clinical setting
  • Demonstrated leadership to a multi-skilled team, with ability to motivate and inspire others
  • Excellent customer service skills, with a client focused approach
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders both within and external to the organisation.
