Green Light Australia are currently seeking an Fortinet Consultant (SDWAN & SASE) who will become the "trusted advisor" for requirements in the Infrastructure space and you will be heavily involved in the development of procedures. The position is to provide oversight and deliver technology strategy and architecture across the whole enterprise and to develop the broader architecture community and infrastructure architecture practice.

The ideal person will be a natural leader and will Leads and owns technical design in implementation of technical solutions. Ensures quality technical solutions and drive towards the highest levels of customer satisfaction and improvement in professional standards.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain overall architecture ownership and governance for all the solutions within a particular customer environment.
  • Lead and deliver consulting services when required, including development of High Level Designs, Low Level Designs, Site Migration Plans
  • Lead communication of technology architecture and provide continuous improvement of infrastructure and broader architecture practice.
  • Review and contribute to the applications migration and transformation plan.
  • Architecture Governance - Architecture impact analysis, review and approval of concept and solution architectures and designs, Architecture guidance to projects and delivery teams.
  • Creation and continuous improvement of Architectural policies and procedures.
  • Develop usable enterprise wide strategies, roadmaps, and architecture-level designs that articulate the strategy, roadmap and/or solution that meet the needs of a consumption based service model.
  • Define, document and socialise appropriate capability models spanning the Enterprise Architecture framework, including: business processes, functions, information, applications and technology infrastructure.
  • Experience with one or more architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Archimate, UML) will be highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the design, implementation in complex enterprise infrastructure environments.
  • Experience in taking customers on a journey through transformation.

Requirements

  • Lead the design, implementation and optimisation of Fortinet SD‑WAN and SASE solutions across enterprise environments
  • Deploy and manage FortiGate, FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer platforms to support secure SD‑WAN architectures
  • Design and maintain secure access frameworks, including ZTNA (Zero Trust Network Access) and SASE components
  • Configure and manage application-aware routing, traffic steering and WAN optimisation policies
  • Ensure robust security controls, including firewall policies, IPS, web filtering and secure remote access
  • Integrate SD‑WAN and SASE solutions with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and hybrid environments
  • Monitor network performance, availability and security posture using Fortinet and third-party observability tools
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network, security and connectivity issues across distributed environments
  • Support migration from traditional WAN to SD‑WAN/SASE architectures, ensuring minimal service disruption
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and implement secure networking standards and best practices
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance for network modernisation and SASE transformation initiatives
  • Ensure solutions align with enterprise security policies, compliance requirements and industry standards
  • Document designs, configurations and operational procedures to support ongoing service management
  • Support incident response and act as escalation point for major network or security incidents
