Recoveries and Settlements Consultant – 12 Month Secondment

We’re looking for proactive, detail-oriented individuals to join our Recoveries and Settlements team supporting our consumer brands. In this role, you’ll manage a portfolio of claims, identify recovery opportunities, negotiate fair settlement outcomes, and support positive outcomes for customers and stakeholders.

What Success Looks Like
In this role, success means balancing customer experience with commercial outcomes. You’ll be someone who can manage competing priorities, make informed decisions, communicate confidently, and identify opportunities to improve recovery and settlement results while maintaining quality and accuracy.
What You’ll Do
- Manage a portfolio of claims across recoveries and settlements
- Identify and maximise recovery opportunities
- Negotiate fair settlement outcomes with customers and third parties
- Review claim information and estimates to support accurate decision-making
- Deliver a high standard of customer experience across all interactions
- Handle inbound calls from customers and third-party insurers
- Resolve complaints professionally and with empathy
- Maintain accurate claims records in line with policies and standards
- Support team performance and continuous improvement initiatives
Role details
- 12-month contract commencing 6 July 2026
- Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm
- Hybrid working with up to 4 days work from home per week (leader discretion)
- 5 weeks in-office training plus 2 weeks supported onboarding
- Limited WFH during training depending on business needs
- Locations: Melbourne, Brisbane or Toowoomba

- Experience in claims, insurance, complaints, recoveries or similar (highly regarded)
