Senior / Associate Fire Safety Engineer

IGS offers mechanical, electrical, fire, hydraulic, vertical transportation, specialist lighting, ESD and Fire Safety Engineering multidisciplinary services to the building, energy, legal and construction sectors.

Due to IGS’ rapid growth and success, we are seeking an experienced, highly motivated and enthusiastic Senior / Associate Fire Safety Engineer to join our Melbourne Office.

Ø Prepare drawings and calculations in support of design concepts and determine whether the performance solution complies with the relevant performance requirements of the Building Code of Australia;

Ø Deliver technically sound and innovative designs, reports, and specifications across sectors including health, industrial, high-rise, renewables and education;

Ø Preparation of Fire Engineering Brief, and develop solutions through to final Fire Engineering Report (FER);

Ø Liaise with local authorities, clients and consultant team;

Ø Attend project meetings;

Ø Drive business development initiatives, identifying and pursuing new project opportunities; and nurturing long-term client partnerships.

Ø Appropriate qualification in Fire Safety engineering;

Ø A minimum 7 years Fire Safety services design experience;

Ø Eligible for Accreditation in Victoria (Certifier - Fire Safety);

Ø Registration in NSW is desirable;

Ø Proven experience in a design consultancy environment, with a track record of client engagement and project leadership;

Ø Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects at varying stages of delivery;

Ø A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a passion for building client relationships and growing business pipelines;

Ø Technical expertise in fire safety design, analysis, and risk assessment; and

Ø Excellent communication and presentation skills.
