As the Assistant Program Officer, you'll play a valued role in supporting older people and people with disabilities in enjoying safe, engaging and meaningful social programs. Working as part of a friendly and flexible team, you'll support participants during transport, activities and personal care, while encouraging independence, dignity and inclusion.
What you’ll be doing
- Supporting and supervising participants to ensure safety, wellbeing and inclusion
- Assisting with transport, including driving vans and operating hoists as required
- Delivering and supporting engaging group activities under Team Leader direction
- Providing personal care, meals support and maintaining clean, safe environments
- Completing records, reports and following procedures across safety and food handling
What you'll need to succeed
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing/Aged Care) or equivalent
- Experience supporting older people and people with disabilities
- Strong interpersonal skills with a caring, respectful and inclusive approach
- Ability to work flexibly in a team and respond to changing participant needs
- Current Victorian Driver’s Licence and ability to meet physical role demands

Pre-Employment Requirements
