Business Analyst

- Initial 2+mth contract with possible extension paying approx. $88/hr
- Brisbane CBD Location with flexibility to WFH 2 days per week

Our client, a Queensland Government Department, are currently seeking an AO6 Business Analsyt for an initial 2-month contract. The primary purpose of the position is to provide expert recommendations on business improvements within their Frontline Learning and Operational Team.
Roles and responsiblities
- Analyse operational needs and frontline staff requirements to identify the most effective business process improvements and translate these into clear and actionable business process documentation.
- Support staff and stakeholders in articulating their key operational challenges and service delivery needs, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities.
- Provide practical advice and recommendations to staff and management on process improvements, tools, and strategies to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
- Identify and recommend process improvement options that align with departmental and whole-of-Government policies, frameworks, and best practices.
- Use strong interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain effective relationships with team members, frontline staff, and other stakeholders, fostering collaboration and shared understanding.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to design, develop, and implement innovative communication and engagement strategies, ensuring all affected staff and stakeholders have a clear understanding of new processes and their impact on day-to-day work.
- Promote and support a positive workplace safety culture by ensuring that all Workplace Health and Safety policies and practices are integrated into daily operations and adhered to by all staff.
The skills you will need include being able to:
- Extensive experience in business analysis, including leading requirements gathering, process mapping, and documentation of business requirements.
- Demonstrated expertise in stakeholder engagement, with the ability to influence and negotiate outcomes across diverse groups.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in data profiling, cleansing, and transformation.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
- Candidates with experience as a Business Analyst within a large complex Queensland Government environment (desirable)

Casual Loading
Please note for all Australian based contract and temporary roles only, the pay rate is inclusive of mandatory 25% casual loading. This excludes permanent and fixed term roles.
