About the opportunity

To work as part of a dynamic team providing support to the Point of Care Testing (PoCT) coordinators, laboratory and clinical staff, in NSW Health hospitals across metropolitan and regional NSW.

In this role you will provide administrative support within the team, with interested applicants able to expand their skills in training delivery and technical support, under the supervision of PoCT Coordinators.

The PoCT team has a patient focused approach, with the goal of developing individual team members to form and contribute from their unique skillset.

To perform, under supervision, a range of scientific, technical and customer support services for laboratory-based and clinical staff, to deliver a patient-focused service

  • Experience in customer service or administrative positions, with demonstrated experience in a health care setting and/or qualifications in science.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment with the ability to maintain high quality work output while managing competing priorities.
  • Demonstrated organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work and manage competing priorities.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills, combined with the ability to investigate and escalate problems where identified.
  • High level interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to communicate with multiple stake holders.
  • Demonstrated high level of PC skills, including being able to use programs like word processing and spread sheets and/or a specialist application/software.
  • Current unencumbered NSW (Class C) drivers licence and the ability / willingness to work across various locations / sites as required.
