Where you'll be working

You'll work across Maitland and Kurri Kurri Hospitals, coordinating seamless transitions for older individuals entering residential aged care. This regional role connects you with multidisciplinary teams, ACAT assessors, families and care providers across a meaningful catchment area. Together, this creates rewarding opportunities to guide people through significant life changes with dignity and expertise.

About the role

As Residential Aged Care Facility Manager (Registered Nurse), you'll oversee the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care for residents, managing daily operations, staff coordination and compliance with Commonwealth/State aged care standards. You'll lead ACAT assessment scheduling, care planning and family liaison, ensuring smooth transitions while fostering continuous improvement, innovation and excellence across the facility.

Reporting to hospital leadership, you'll advocate for residents' needs, implement tailored long-term care options, and cultivate a culture of respect and quality - all while navigating ethical, compliant practice that truly enhances quality of life.

About you

You're an experienced, compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) leader with proven case management skills and deep aged care knowledge, thriving in team environments while advocating fiercely for older people.

You bring:

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Current unrestricted NSW Driver's Licence
  • Demonstrated case management experience, including interviews, family liaison and sensitive communication
  • Proven knowledge of ACAT processes and aged care assessment coordination
  • Strong understanding of Commonwealth/State aged care legislation
  • Excellent verbal/written communication for clients, families and teams
  • Resilience, empathy and advocacy in complex scenarios
  • Collaborative approach to continuous improvement
