Chief of Staff

Snuggle Hunny is an Australian organic baby clothing brand built for parents who care about quality, design, and community. We're growing fast and we're building a team that thinks like founders.

This role sits at the centre of that growth — working directly with our CEO and COO to make the important things happen. We are a very hands on business so this is a hands on role. The best way to see if something will work is to test it out. This role is not a deskbound role - get amongst the team trying things out.

This isn't a traditional Chief of Staff role. Think of it as part strategist, part operator, big part doer. You'll work with our CEO and COO and the rest of our small team — picking up the high-impact projects that don't fit neatly into anyone else's remit and driving them to completion.

You'll touch everything from a new product launch, new initiative, to board reporting, and growth analysis. If it matters to the business, there's a good chance you'll be involved. You won't have direct reports, but you'll need to be the kind of person who can get things done through others and build respect quickly.

This role is ideal for someone who's thought about starting their own business, wants to understand how a consumer brand actually grows, and is ready to learn by doing — fast.

Note: we are a small team so this role is hands on and you'll be close to the action always. If we've had a huge sale everyone is in the warehouse packing orders so you have to be excited about that too.

What You'll Work On

→ Lead key growth projects end-to-end — from scoping to delivery

→ Support the board reporting process: pull the data, write the narrative, make it sing

→ Drive the launch of a new product/ initiative — coordinating across the team

→ Dig into business analysis to help us understand what's working and what's next

→ Take on the projects that are too important to wait and too complex to delegate

→ You'll also work on projects that seem really easy but are very important

→ You'll probably work on some things that aren't that fun but are super important

→ Be a thinking partner to both CEOs — challenge ideas, stress test plans, and execute with urgency

→ You use AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Perplexity, etc.) daily and genuinely — not just to look the part

→ You think about how to apply AI to problems before defaulting to the old way of doing things

→ You're comfortable prompting well, evaluating outputs critically, and knowing when to trust the machine and when not to

→ You actively look for opportunities to introduce AI-powered workflows to the broader team

→ You see AI as leverage — and you want to be the person helping Snuggle Hunny stay ahead of the curve

Who You Are

→ 2–5 years of experience — post-MBA, ex-consulting, startup operator, or self-taught generalist - we're really not bothered about your educational background - it's attitude and what you can do that's important

→ Intellectually curious and fast to pick up new areas — no baby industry experience needed

→ You write clearly, think in structured ways, and can present to a board without hand-holding

→ You have a bias for action — you'd rather start, iterate, and learn than wait for perfect information

→ You're comfortable with ambiguity and thrive when given a problem rather than a brief

→ Commercially minded — you understand what drives growth in a consumer business

→ Based in Sydney and ok to work in Rouse Hill
