About the Role

As a Fleet Scheduler, you will be responsible for overseeing the scheduling and coordination of our Long Haul fleet. You will work closely with dispatch teams, clients, and operational departments to ensure timely loading, unloading and movement of goods. Your role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of our fleet, maintaining customer satisfaction and optimizing fleet utilization.

Key Responsibilities

• Fleet scheduling and Coordination

Manage daily scheduling for our Long Haul fleet, ensuring efficient use of the vehicles and timely deliveries.

• Dispatch and Route planning

Work alongside dispatch teams to plan, optimize and communicate routes for unloading/loading operations, considering delivery deadlines and customer needs.

• Loading and Unloading Coordination

Oversee the coordination of loading and unloading, ensuring efficiency and adherence to safety standards.

• Operational Planning

Plan Long Haul fleet operations to maximise vehicle efficiency and minimise delays, considering operational requirements and client demands.

• Data Entry and Reporting

Maintain accurate records of schedules, fleet usage and client interactions. Generate reports for internal and external stakeholders.

Key Requirements

• Proven experience in fleet scheduling, preferably in the Transport and Logistics environment.
• Strong knowledge of logistics operations.
• Excellent coordination skills with experience in dispatching and fleet management.
• Strong organisational skills
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficiency in Microsoft office Suite and fleet management systems.
