Collections Officer

We are currently looking for a customer focused Collections Officer to join the National Shared Services Centre located at our head office in Parramatta, NSW to provide support to our East Coast business partners.

This role is instrumental in performing the day-to-day task of account management and collections within the centralised credit function which is a part of the National Shared Services Centre.

This is a full-time, fixed term contract position ending July 2027 working Monday to Friday in our Parramatta office.

In your new role, you will be

  • Handling a high volume of collection calls to assigned customer base

  • Negotiating the collection of outstanding balances which have fallen into arrears

  • Proactively identifying and escalating risks to the Collections Manager

  • Monitoring and reporting in real time of payment deterioration

  • Ensuring all customer accounts have a valid credit application on file

  • Ensuring customer credit claims are recorded and managed through to conclusion

  • Managing customer orders within assigned credit limits

  • Generating, reviewing, and distributing various reports

  • Flexible in your approach with workdays and working hours

  • Collaborative with the Sales Function to resolve matters that may delay payment

  • Utilising a diary system to ensure strict follow-up with internal and external customers

  • Assisting the Collections Manager as required

This role is a great fit for you, if you have:

  • Have a minimum 1-3 years’ experience in a collections / recovery role

  • Are experienced in managing a high value and volume customer portfolio

  • Exhibit strong and effective time and diary management skills and experience

  • Can deliver remarkable customer service and exceptional recovery results

  • Possess a high level of resilience and adaptability to changing situations

  • Have utilised SAP in previous employment
