Senior Health Safety Environment Advisor

TESS Search Partners is partnering with Duratec, a leading Australian contractor specialising in the Construction, Remediation and Engineering across defence, infrastructure, mining, industrial and marine sectors. With a strong national project footprint, Duratec delivers complex works across a diverse range of environments, supporting clients with asset remediation, refurbishment, construction and maintenance solutions.

Reporting to the NT State Manager, the Senior HSEQ Advisor will play a key role in leading and fostering HSEQ and risk management throughout the business. The role will partner closely with site leaders, project teams and senior business stakeholders to drive positive safety behaviours, support HSEQ initiatives and ensure compliance with management systems, policies, procedures, regulatory requirements and client expectations. The Senior HSEQ Advisor will also lead and support a team of HSEQ Advisors, providing guidance, coaching, feedback and direction to build capability across the business.

The successful candidate will bring strong HSEQ experience within a project-based or site-based environment, with the ability to influence safety behaviours and provide practical guidance to operational teams. Experience supporting incident management, , internal and external audits, HSEQ plans and management system compliance will be highly regarded. Knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001 and Federal Accreditation requirements would be advantageous.
