About You

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and passionate Small Business Specialist – Agribusiness to join our Business Banking team.

In this role, you will play a key part in supporting Queensland Country Bank’s agribusiness members by developing and managing strong relationships, delivering tailored financial solutions, and driving sustainable portfolio performance. You will bring extensive experience in commercial and/or agribusiness lending, along with a proactive approach to engaging members and collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders to build genuine, long-lasting partnerships.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys being active within their local business community and who aligns with our organisational values of being genuine, bringing your best, putting people first, and embracing change.

This is a full-time salaried position based on a 38-hour working week. Flexibility is essential, as the successful candidate may be required to work outside standard business hours to meet business needs. This role will be based in Townsville.

About the Role

To be eligible to apply for this position you must possess the following:

• Extensive experience in Agribusiness lending
• Sound knowledge of financial statements and credit assessment skills
• Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills, including negotiation and communication
• Manage the Member relationship end-to-end lending process
• Relevant tertiary qualification in business, finance or related field
• Demonstrate time management skills
• Leadership or mentoring experience (desirable)
