Job Description
- Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards.
- Manage month-end and year-end reporting processes effectively and on time.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and maintain accurate general ledger records.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support decision-making.
- Provide financial insights and advice to internal stakeholders.
- Support audits by preparing necessary documentation and liaising with auditors.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist with tax reporting requirements.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to their implementation.
The Successful Applicant
A Successful Financial Accountant Should Have
- A relevant tertiary qualification in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Professional membership or progress towards CPA or CA accreditation.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and familiarity with accounting standards.
- Proficiency with accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
- A team-oriented mindset and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
