An exciting opportunity is available for a commercially driven and technically strong Technical Sales Specialist to join a growing ANZ team within the medical diagnostics and life sciences sector.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives on managing existing accounts while driving new business growth across NSW. You will operate as the key territory representative, combining scientific knowledge, relationship management, technical expertise, and commercial acumen to deliver strong market growth across both public and private sectors.
This is a highly autonomous role suited to someone hungry for sales, passionate about building relationships, and confident managing the full commercial cycle from discovery through to post-sales support.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow existing accounts across NSW & ACT
- Drive new business opportunities and territory expansion
- Deliver scientific and technical support across the portfolio
- Build strong relationships with laboratories, scientists, managers, pathologists, and procurement teams
- Lead customer evaluations, onboarding, implementation, and go-live activities
- Develop territory plans, account strategies, and sales pipelines
- Maintain CRM activity, forecasting, and commercial reporting
- Conduct presentations, education sessions, and workflow discussions with stakeholders
- Work closely with internal applications, service, and training teams to ensure customer success
About You
- Previous experience within IVD, medical diagnostics, laboratory, or life sciences sales
- Strong technical and commercial sales capability
- Experience managing key accounts and growing new business opportunities
- Ability to engage with clinical and scientific stakeholders confidently
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive and self-driven approach
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills
- Experience with CRM systems, funnel management, and sales methodologies highly regarded
- Tertiary qualifications in Medical Laboratory Science, Biochemistry, Life Sciences, or related field preferred
