ERP Senior Program Manager

About the Position

The ERP Senior Program Manager is responsible for leading a dual-phase enterprise systems program to stabilise and improve current finance and HR platforms and to develop an evidence-based pathway for future ERP direction, in order to restore operational confidence and support strategic institutional decision-making

This position incorporates leadership of a small team of internal Workday resources, leads end-to-end program planning, governance, vendor management, stakeholder engagement and delivery assurance across Finance, Information Technology Services, People and Culture and Procurement. The role spans immediate remediation of Workday Finance and Adaptive Planning working with a Workday partner and subsequent structured scoping, options analysis and migration planning for potential replacement of enterprise platforms. The role requires a highly experienced technical and program leadership expert who develops and implements practices aligned to strategy, delivers major programs of work, influences senior management decision-making and is fully accountable for significant outcomes across a complex institutional environment.

Selection Criteria

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Extensive experience leading large or complex ERP, enterprise systems or finance transformation programs, including program governance, delivery assurance, dependency management and benefits-focused planning.
  • Demonstrated experience with Workday, including strong exposure to Workday Finance; experience with Adaptive Planning is strongly preferred.
  • Exposure to other Finance, HCM and ERP solutions desirable.
  • Proven capability in remediation or recovery of underperforming ERP or finance platforms, including prioritisation of fixes, quality assurance and operational stabilisation.
  • Demonstrated experience in solution selection and options assessment, including requirements definition, fit-gap analysis, evaluation activities and development of recommendation papers or business case inputs.

Personal Qualities:

  • Demonstrated capacity to lead with credibility, judgement and resilience in complex, high-stakes program environments involving multiple senior stakeholders and competing priorities.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a small team of technical specialists through transformational change
  • Strong relationship-building, facilitation and influencing skills, with the ability to gain cooperation and provide sound counsel at senior management level.
