Business Development Manager - Fleet Electrification & EV Energy Solutions
Beyond EV Australia
About Beyond EV & NexusCharge
Beyond EV is at the forefront of fleet electrification in Australia. Our flagship platform, NexusCharge, is an advanced Energy Management System (EMS).
NexusCharge integrates electric vehicles, multi-vendor chargers, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and solar assets into a single intelligent platform. We work with bus operators, fleet management organisations, utilities, logistics operators, and large venues to reduce energy costs, increase grid flexibility, and scale electrification without the capital burden of traditional infrastructure.
We're a fast-moving, high-growth clean energy technology company on a mission to make fleet electrification commercially viable at scale in Australia and internationally.
The Opportunity
As Business Development Manager, you will be one of the most commercially influential people in the business responsible for driving revenue across NexusCharge's SaaS subscriptions, BaaS infrastructure, and professional services, while simultaneously building the distribution channels and strategic partnerships that will define our growth trajectory.
You'll work directly with the Chief Commercial Officer to shape go-to-market strategy, activate key accounts, and develop a partner ecosystem spanning OEMs, Fleet Management Organisations, energy retailers, and infrastructure developers. You'll navigate complex multi-stakeholder sales cycles, and act as a trusted advisor to organisations navigating the real operational and financial complexities of fleet electrification.
If you have deep domain expertise, an established network in fleet or energy, and the commercial instinct to build something significant, this role was designed for you.
What You'll Do
Sales & Revenue
- Drive end-to-end sales of NexusCharge SaaS subscriptions, BaaS infrastructure, and professional services across target verticals.
- Develop and manage a high-quality enterprise pipeline across Freight operators, bus operators, FMOs, utilities, logistics operators, and large venues.
- Lead discovery, commercial negotiations, proposal development, and contract closure with large organisations
- Own annual revenue targets with full accountability for pipeline conversion
Partnership & Channel Development
- Identify, negotiate, and activate long-term distribution partnerships with OEMs and FMO.
- Build a structured channel partner programme enabling partners to bundle or white-label NexusCharge within their own offerings.
- Represent Beyond EV at industry forums, conferences, and government-led fleet electrification initiatives.
Market Development
- Conduct market mapping and competitive analysis to identify priority segments and whitespace opportunities.
- Collaborate with the CCO on service tier positioning and pricing strategy across SaaS, BaaS, and professional services.
- Feed structured market intelligence back to the product and technology teams to inform the NexusCharge roadmap.
Sales Enablement
- Design and deliver a scalable sales playbook, pitch materials, and objection-handling frameworks
- Develop partner enablement programmes so channel partners can position, demo, and sell NexusCharge independently.
- Build compelling client-facing business cases, ROI models, and TCO analyses for fleet electrification.
