We’re hiring at HCPA — a consulting firm focused on helping businesses establish, structure, and scale services within highly regulated industries across Australia.

The Opportunity

This isn’t a traditional centre-based childcare role.

And it’s not a classroom or educational leadership role either.

This is a delivery role for someone who understands how Early Learning services operate behind the scenes — compliance, governance, operational readiness, Assessment & Rating preparation, documentation systems, and service quality.

As our Delivery SME – Early Learning, you’ll work directly with clients across a range of Early Learning and education environments to support operational setup, compliance alignment, governance frameworks, and regulator-ready service delivery systems.

You’ll bring the operational and compliance expertise.

We’ll provide the framework, clients, systems, and consulting environment to apply that experience at scale.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Supporting clients through operational setup and service readiness activities
• Assisting with Assessment & Rating preparation and broader compliance readiness initiatives
• Developing policies and procedures, operational documentation, governance frameworks, and compliance systems
• Reviewing workflows, operational processes, and quality assurance practices across services
• Supporting clients with Provider Approval, Service Approval, and operational compliance alignment
• Conducting client sessions to review compliance readiness and improve operational structures
• Maintaining audit-ready documentation and governance standards across client engagements
• Contributing to internal delivery systems, templates, SOPs, and documentation frameworks that support HCPA’s consulting delivery function
• Identifying operational or compliance risks and escalating appropriately within the delivery team

What We’re Looking For

You’ll ideally have:

• Experience within Early Learning, childcare, or regulated education environments
• Exposure to operational leadership, compliance, governance, quality assurance, or Assessment & Rating readiness activities
• Strong understanding of NQF/NQS requirements and operational compliance expectations
• Experience developing or maintaining policies and procedures, operational documentation, or governance systems
• Strong attention to detail and documentation discipline
• The ability to communicate clearly with clients and stakeholders across operational and compliance matters
• A practical, systems-oriented approach to operational problem-solving

Good to Have

• Experience across multiple service types such as Family Day Care, Long Day Care, OSHC, or Kindergarten/Preschool environments
• Exposure to Provider Approval or Service Approval processes
• Experience supporting multi-site operations or governance frameworks
• Exposure to RTO or broader education and training compliance environments
• Experience improving operational processes, documentation systems, or quality assurance frameworks

This Role Is NOT For You If...

• You’re only looking for a classroom-based or educational programming role
• You prefer purely centre-based operations without broader project or consulting exposure
• You dislike documentation, compliance systems, or operational process work
• You’re not comfortable being accountable for delivery quality, governance standards, and operational outcomes
