Expert Rehab is seeking an experienced Senior Workplace Rehabilitation Consultant to join our growing team.

This role is suited to an Occupational Therapist or Rehabilitation Counsellor with strong technical foundations in NSW Workers Compensation and/or NSW CTP, who is confident managing complex claims and working proactively and collaboratively with workers, employers, insurers, treatment providers and more.

We are looking for someone who brings both strong clinical reasoning and exceptional soft skills, someone who can think critically, communicate clearly, build trust quickly, demonstrate exceptional time management and proactivity, and takes a person-centred recovery and return-to-work outcomes approach.

We value experience, and typically, we are looking for people with a minimum of 3 years of industry experience. Currently, our team of 40 staff average of 10 years of industry experience each.

About the Role

As a Senior Workplace Rehabilitation Consultant, you will be involved in the delivery of high-quality workplace rehabilitation services, including:

Specific to Same Employer / Workplace Rehabilitation Consultant

• Workplace Assessments
• Functional Capacity Evaluations
• Activities of Daily Living Assessments
• Recover at Work planning
• Workplace Rehabilitation Management Services

Specific to New Employer / Vocational Rehabilitation Consultant

• Vocational Counselling
• Vocational Assessments
• Labour Market Analysis (We have staff who can help with this task)
• Return to work planning
• Job Seeking Assistance
• Canvassing & Reverse Marketing
• Workplace Rehabilitation Management Services

We Are Looking For Someone With

• Who reside within the Sydney Metro, and are happy to travel within reason, according to their caseload.
• Minimum of 3 years industry experience, exceptional candidates and/or Korean-speaking candidates to be considered
• Desirable: Able to speak other languages fluently, such as Korean, Arabic, etc.
• Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy or Rehabilitation Counselling
• Rehab Counsellors will require either Full Membership with ASORC or RCAA
• Experience working in NSW Workers Compensation and NSW CTP
• Strong understanding of recovery at work principles, vocational rehabilitation, and claims management processes
• Excellent written communication and report writing skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong clinical reasoning and ability to manage complex matters with professionalism
• Confidence liaising with multiple stakeholders in sensitive or complex claims
• A calm and collaborative communication style
• Strong time management, proactive, and organisational skills
• A genuine interest in helping injured people achieve meaningful recovery and work outcomes
