About The Role

This newly shaped Technical Business Analyst role sits at the intersection of business and engineering. Reporting into a lean but capable IT function, you'll bridge business stakeholders and principal engineers, filling a critical translation layer, ensuring requirements land clearly on both sides, and lifting BA practice across the broader IT function.

Duties / Key Responsibilities

• Act as the conduit between business stakeholders and engineering teams, translating requirements into language engineers can build from, and technical constraints back into terms the business understands
• Lead requirement elicitation, documentation, and validation across the full SDLC, from discovery through to delivery
• Work hands-on with principal engineers on application software development projects, conducting real system analysis beyond process documentation
• Challenge assumptions, push back where needed, and propose alternatives to ensure well-informed decisions on both sides
• Provide informal mentoring to BAs across other programmes, lifting standards and consistency in BA practice across the IT function

Skills and Experience

• Solid experience as a Senior BA with genuine technical depth, comfortable holding your own in system analysis conversations with engineering teams
• Strong grounding in application software development and SDLC projects
• Experience across a range of industries and project types, with the ability to adapt quickly to new environments
• Still hands-on and actively doing the work, not looking to step away from delivery into pure management
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, equally comfortable with senior business leaders and technical leads
• Exposure to Microsoft, Azure, or .NET environments is advantageous, though not essential
