What you'll be doing

Macarthur Health Service is seeking an experienced and qualified RANZCOG trainee eligible for advanced training in Gynaecology to join our team at Campbelltown Public Hospital for a 1 year fellowship in Gynaecology.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing gynaecology services and training to junior doctors, medical students, and other healthcare professionals in the field. You will be working closely with the AGES fellow. This position will also provide good experience for those candidates wishing to pursue an AGES fellowship.

The appointment is based at Campbelltown Hospital. The position provides extensive exposure to all aspects of gynaecology surgery including TLH, advanced laparoscopic and operative hysteroscopic surgery.

  • MBBS or equivalent, currently registered with the Medical Board of Australia.
  • Desirable to have obtained MRANZCOG.
  • Demonstrated commitment to Women's Health.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with patients and their families.
  • Ability to work as part of a medical team, to take responsibility and initiative and to undertake self directed learning.
  • Extensive experience in women's health obstetrics and gynaecology with clinical competence in procedural obstetrics including assisted vaginal and caesarean deliveries and management of obstetrical emergencies.
  • Competency in management of acute gynaecological problems including experience in laparoscopic surgery.
  • Ability to lead, delegate and manage junior medical staff.
