Campbelltown & Camden hospital is looking for an engaging senior sonographer to join an experienced team in providing expert health care in one of Sydney’s fastest growing regions. Campbelltown hospital has recently undergone a major redevelopment with expansion across Medical Imaging services with sonography being a key component. This role provides opportunity to lead a growing team of dedicated sonographers in one of Sydney’s fastest expanding regions.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated professional with strong professional and personal qualities suited to a leadership role in a dynamic clinical environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate comprehensive expertise across general, paediatric, obstetric, and musculoskeletal ultrasound, with the ability to maintain diagnostic accuracy in challenging scanning conditions. You will stay current with emerging ultrasound technologies, best practices, and evolving clinical protocols, while consistently adhering to established scanning protocols and promoting high-quality imaging standards within the team. A strong commitment to quality, safety, and clinical governance is essential, including active participation in quality assurance processes such as audits and peer review.
As a senior team member, you will exhibit strong leadership aligned with a public hospital setting, fostering a supportive, collaborative, and high-performing team culture. You will effectively manage interpersonal conflict, build professional working relationships, and provide supervision, mentorship, and guidance to colleagues. In a high-demand, fast-paced clinical environment, you will confidently manage workload, implement strategies to optimise patient flow and reduce waiting times, and contribute to service planning and development, including the implementation of new services where required.
Selection Criteria

- Medical Radiation science degree
- AHPRA registration with EPA license
- A post graduate diploma or masters’ degree in an area of Ultrasound and must have a valid Ultrasound accreditation from ASAR.

- Have you had experience supervising sonographers? How do you approach teaching?
