What you'll be doing
As a Registered Nurse, you will provide comprehensive, person-centred nursing care that supports optimal patient outcomes. You will use clinical expertise and critical thinking to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care in partnership with patients, carers and the healthcare team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting systematic assessments and delivering safe, evidence-informed care
- Developing and maintaining accurate care plans and clinical documentation
- Providing timely, culturally appropriate care to individuals with complex health needs
- Mentoring and supporting Enrolled Nurses, Assistants in Nursing and colleagues
- Actively participating in quality improvement initiatives and team-based care planning
About you
To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
- Recent clinical experience in an acute (cardiology or cardiothoracic) or relevant healthcare setting
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships
- Proven organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands
- Competence in using electronic health records and clinical information systems

Essential Criteria
- Registration: Currently authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Selection Criteria
- Recent relevant experience in clinical setting as deemed appropriate by WSLHD
- Effective interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients
- Excellent time management and organisation skills with attention to detail
- Evidence of computer literacy and understanding of relevant health related information systems
