About the role:

  • Lead the Anaesthesia team at Gladstone Hospital, driving high-quality care and influencing health service delivery across Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service.
  • Inspire and support multidisciplinary teams through strong clinical leadership, staff development, education and supervision of trainees, students and medical staff.
  • Champion safety, quality improvement and continuous innovation to achieve strong clinical and operational outcomes for the community.
  • Foster a positive workplace culture by promoting health, safety and best practice standards across all areas of service delivery.
  • Demonstrate clinical and technical expertise with appropriate knowledge, skills, and ability to deliver quality patient clinical care services.
  • Lead initiatives and contribute to processes that ensure patients receive high quality services and continuity of care, and that high-quality clinical standards and clinical outcomes and risk management approaches and accreditation requirements are achieved.

About you:

  • Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
  • Enrolment and maintenance of ongoing CME program with the appropriate bodies.
  • Registration or eligibility for registration as a Specialist in Anaesthesia with the Australian Health Practitioner Registration Authority (AHPRA). This will require Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA) or:
    • Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP)
    • FARGP or FRACGP-RG
    • Fellowship of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM)
    • Diploma of Rural Generalist Anaesthesia

Total remuneration value of up to $582,299 p.a. is comprised of:

  • A salary rate between $216,643 - $259,072 p.a. (L18 – L25)
  • A salary rate between $259,072 - $274,678 p.a. (L25 – L27)
  • A salary rate between $216,643 - $251,642 p.a. (L18 – L24)
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
