Full Stack Engineer

A Not-for-Profit client is looking for an experienced Full Stack Developer for a 12-month contract.

Your new role

We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to lead the build of a privacy-preserving, zero-trust AI platform that enables secure analysis of sensitive clinical data (including speech and video).This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you will help deliver a production-grade platform within 12 months, enabling researchers and partners to safely deploy AI models while maintaining strict data privacy standards.You will work closely with an interdisciplinary team of clinicians, researchers, and engineers, as well as an external engineering vendor, to deliver a critical national-scale capability.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Leadership & Architecture

• Own architecture across the security boundary (e.g., key management, container isolation, access control)
• Design and implement zero-trust patterns for sensitive data processing
• Ensure solutions meet audit, compliance, and security requirements

Full Stack Engineering

• Build and integrate platform components across:
  • Frontend (React / Next.js)
  • Backend services (Node.js / NestJS or Python)
• Extend and integrate with an existing AI platform and user interface
• Contribute hands-on to core system components and infrastructure

Vendor Collaboration

• Work closely with an external engineering partner
• Conduct code reviews, integration validation, and technical guidance
• Act as a peer-level technical counterpart, ensuring delivery quality

Platform & Infrastructure

• Support integration with:
  • GPU-based compute infrastructure
  • Containerised pipelines running on Kubernetes
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows, and system reliability

What you'll need to succeed

Tech Stack:Frontend

• React, Next.js
• TypeScript

Backend

• Node.js (NestJS preferred)
• Python (desirable)

Data & Infrastructure

• MongoDB, PostgreSQL
• Object storage (S3-compatible)
• Docker, Kubernetes
• CI/CD (GitHub or similar)

AI & Pipelines

• Workflow orchestration (e.g., Airflow)
• Model serving (e.g., KServe, Triton)
• GPU-enabled processing environments

About YouCore Experience

• Senior full-stack developer with technical leadership capability
• Strong experience in:
  • TypeScript
  • React / Next.js
  • Node.js / backend frameworks

Security Awareness

• Practical understanding of:
  • Key management systems (KMS)
  • Container isolation
  • Access control / scoped credentials
  • Audit logging
• Comfortable working with security-sensitive systems (not a pure security specialist)

Infrastructure & Systems

• Experience working with:
  • Containerised environments (Docker/Kubernetes)
  • CI/CD pipelines
  • On-prem or hybrid infrastructure

Collaboration

• Experience working with external engineering teams or vendors
• Strong communication and ability to challenge and guide technically

Mindset

• Motivated by purpose-driven work, particularly in healthcare or social impact
• Comfortable operating in research and clinical environments
• Adaptable to evolving requirements and interdisciplinary teams
