Internal Recruiter - Sourcing & Screening Specialist
FEEDWELL
Remote
Sydney CBD | In office | 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday | 4-month contract with real potential to become permanent
Enjoy recruitment, but not the sales pressure?
Feedwell is a fast-growing Sydney corporate catering company. We supply fresh food daily to teams at Google, Amazon, Canva and Louis Vuitton.
We are growing quickly, and recruitment matters here. We need someone to help us find, screen and progress the right people for our kitchen, delivery and operations teams.
This role suits a recruiter who is warm, sharp, organised and hungry to keep improving. Someone who enjoys speaking with candidates, asking good questions, finding evidence and making sound judgement calls.
This is an in-house role with pace, structure and high standards, but no agency sales targets, no billing pressure and no client chasing.
You will work directly alongside our Head of People & Culture and receive daily support, feedback and coaching while helping us build a stronger recruitment function.
This may suit you if you are in agency recruitment and ready to move in-house, but still want pace, challenge and candidate contact. It may also suit someone in TA or RPO who wants more ownership.
Here, we care about evidence, not just confidence on the phone. We care about whether the person can actually do the job.
About The Role
You will recruit for Catering Assistants, Delivery Drivers, Sous Chefs, Kitchen Managers, Production Supervisors and other operations roles.
This is high-volume recruitment, but it is not low-standard recruitment. The people you help us hire directly affect the quality and reliability of our operation.
What You'll Do
- Review applications and identify candidates worth progressing
- Run phone screens that go beyond surface-level answers
- Ask follow-up questions to understand what candidates have actually done
- Source candidates through phone, LinkedIn, Facebook, job boards and other channels
- Build shortlists where every person is a genuine contender
- Document clear evidence in our ATS, not vague impressions
- Help improve our screening scripts and scorecards
When you progress someone, they need to be a real contender, not just someone who sounded good on the phone.
Who This Role Suits
This role suits someone who communicates well on the phone, builds rapport quickly, listens carefully, follows a process and cares about quality.
You need to be able to like someone and still say no if the evidence is not there. Candidate number 25 needs the same attention as candidate number 1.
Must-haves
- 2+ years in recruitment, talent acquisition, RPO or similar
- Strong phone communication skills
- Confidence asking follow-up questions and probing for specifics
- Comfort sourcing candidates, not just reviewing applicants
- Sydney-based and able to work from our CBD office Monday to Friday
- Openness to coaching and feedback
Not for you if
This role is probably not right if you want remote or hybrid work, dislike phone screening, rely mainly on gut feel, dislike process or documentation, or only want corporate or white-collar recruitment.
About The Contract
This starts as a 4-month contract because fit matters on both sides. We have ongoing hiring needs and want this to become a long-term internal recruitment role if the quality, pace and working relationship are right.
Pay and process
Attractive pay matched to your skills and experience. No commission. No sales targets. No agency pressure.
