Key Account Manager - Safety

Reporting into the Regional Manager - East, the new Key Account Manager will be based at our Archerfield office in Brisbane, QLD, and enjoy flexibility, a healthy work-life balance, and have the option of hybrid working. You will play a key role in delivering strategic solutions to our customers in our Safety division with a focus upon portable and fixed solutions for gas detection, flame detection systems, respiratory protection, personal protection equipment, fire safety and training equipment, escape, and rescue equipment.

Key responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Contribute to the growth of our Safety portfolio in QLD;
  • Engage customers across an increasingly wide range of industries;
  • Deliver product and services sales to achieve relevant budgets;
  • Proactively visit and manage relationships with current and prospective customers;
  • Support and train distributors, agents, or independent representatives selling Draeger products;
  • Embrace all opportunities to promote Draeger products and services to increase sales, market share, and customer experience;
  • Maintain accurate CRM records to enable optimal forecasting and customer management;
  • Effectively service customer queries, needs, and expectations;
  • Present to customers, attend trade shows, and exhibit at events;
  • Collaborate with internal segment and regional managers;
  • Assist with past due accounts;
  • Apply a compliance focused mindset across all operations, and;
  • Always ensure a safety-first approach.

The ideal candidate will be equipped with the following attributes:

  • Tertiary qualification in a related field, or equivalent industry experience;
  • 3 to 5+ years’ sales experience in breathing apparatus, gas detection, and / or a related industry;
  • Well versed with applying a strategic solution focused approach for customers;
  • Adaptability to everchanging requirements and priorities of customers;
  • Enjoy working autonomously, as well as in a team environment;
  • Exemplary understanding of compliance rules, with a proactive mindset and the ability to act as a role model in upholding and promoting compliance standards;
  • Excellent relationship management, influencing, stakeholder management, negotiation, facilitation, interpersonal, and communication skills;
  • A positive energy, can-do attitude, and willingness to learn, and;
  • Current Drivers License.

A Police Check will be required for this position.
