This is a hands-on leadership role for a senior commercial finance operator who knows how to turn numbers into decisions and decisions into growth.
You’ll own and elevate the finance function end to end, shaping pricing, guiding strategy, improving performance visibility, and ensuring the business scales with financial discipline.

What you’ll be owning
You’ll take full ownership of the finance function (currently 1 fte), with a clear mandate to drive commercial impact, not just reporting.
Commercial & Strategic Finance
- Partner with the CEO and leadership team on growth strategy and key decisions
- Own pricing, packaging, and commercial model design
- Evaluate new revenue opportunities and operational investments
- Bring clarity and rigour to decision-making across the business
Financial Planning & Performance
- Own forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis
- Build a clear financial view of what’s driving growth, cost, and profitability
- Move the business from reactive reporting to forward-looking insight
- Support leaders with scenario modelling and decision support
Remuneration & Incentives
- Design and manage company-wide compensation and incentive structures
- Ensure incentives actually drive the right behaviours and outcomes
- Continuously evolve models as the business scales
Finance Operations & Systems
- Own financial governance, cashflow, and reporting accuracy
- Improve systems, processes, and automation alongside the tech team
- Ensure the finance function is scalable, efficient, and reliable
Team Leadership
- Lead and develop a small, capable finance team
- Set standards, drive accountability, and improve output quality
- Stay close enough to the detail to maintain control, without getting stuck in it

What we’re looking for
You’re a senior finance leader who understands how businesses actually grow, not just how to report on them.
You’re commercially sharp, comfortable in ambiguity, and able to balance structure with speed.
You’ve likely operated in a scale-up or mid-sized environment where you’ve had to think, act, and adapt quickly.
Must-haves
- CA qualified with strong technical finance fundamentals
- MBA ideally
- Proven experience in a senior finance role within a high growth scale-up (ideally tech, SaaS, or recurring revenue)
- Strong commercial finance capability, pricing, modelling, and decision support
- Experience building and managing remuneration and incentive structures
- Comfortable owning both strategy and hands-on execution
- Strong communication skills, able to challenge and influence
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in subscription or SaaS business models
- Exposure to international operations (e.g. US market)
- Experience improving systems, reporting, and finance automation
- Worked closely with non-finance senior leaders (COO, GM, etc.)
