About Greenhouse
Greenhouse is building one of Australia’s leading destinations for climate innovation, collaboration and impact. We bring together founders, investors, corporates, industry leaders and global delegations through curated experiences, strategic partnerships and a growing ecosystem focused on meaningful change.
Greenhouse is growing, and we’re looking for an Events & Business Development Lead to help shape what comes next.
This role is driven by growth and the opportunity to elevate Greenhouse’s events offering into a key commercial and strategic channel for the business.
We’re looking for someone who can think strategically, execute brilliantly, and build commercial momentum through events, partnerships and market engagement.
This role sits at the intersection of events, business development, partnerships and brand growth, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment and wants real ownership.
The Opportunity
You will own the strategy, execution and commercial performance of Greenhouse’s events portfolio.
This isn’t a traditional events role.
Yes, you’ll lead exceptional event experience, but you’ll also be responsible for using events as a platform to generate revenue, build partnerships, strengthen Greenhouse’s market presence and create new commercial opportunities.
You’ll work closely with leadership, represent Greenhouse externally, and help position us as a go-to destination for climate, innovation and corporate events.
What You'll Be Doing
- Own and evolve Greenhouse's end to end events strategy & calendar
- Deliver standout experiences across flagship events, workshops, summits, partner activations and hosted experiences
- Build Greenhouse’s profile as a leading events and collaboration destination
- Drive business development activity, partnerships and sponsorship opportunities
- Create lead generation initiatives that convert into event and commercial opportunities
- Build relationships across corporate, government, industry groups and international delegations
- Develop pricing, packaging and partnership opportunities
- Track performance metrics, optimise outcomes and drive commercial growth
- Lead and mentor event delivery support resources as the function scales
- Act as a trusted partner to the General Manager, contributing to broader business strategy
What We're Looking For
You’re commercially minded, highly proactive and equally comfortable in strategy conversations and hands on execution.
You likely bring experience in events, partnerships, business development or venue/commercial growth and know how to turn relationships and ideas into outcomes.
You’ll Likely Bring
- 5+ years’ experience in events, partnerships, business development or related roles
- Strong commercial instincts and confidence building revenue opportunities
- Experience securing sponsorships, partnerships or strategic collaborations
- Marketing / lead generation capability and digital campaign awareness
- Confidence representing a brand externally and building influential networks
- Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills
- Strong operational discipline and the ability to execute at pace
- CRM experience (HubSpot ideal, but not essential)
Why Join Us?
- Growth role with real ownership
- Opportunity to shape and scale the function
- High visibility across leadership
- Dynamic, purpose-led environment at the intersection of climate, innovation and business
- Opportunity to help build something genuinely exciting
