Asset Management Engineer

We’re looking for an Asset Management Engineer to join the team - someone who enjoys working with data, understanding how assets perform, and using insights to support better decisions across the network.

What you’ll be doing

• Analysing asset performance data to identify trends, risks and opportunities across the network
• Supporting lifecycle planning, including ageing asset strategies and maintenance decision-making
• Delivering clear, practical reporting (including investigations and root cause analysis) to support business decisions
• Working closely with teams across operations, engineering and systems to improve data accuracy and reliability
• Contributing to asset plans, business cases and investment decisions that support network performance and reliability
• Providing technical insight on asset performance, risk and compliance across the gas distribution network

What you’ll bring

• Engineering background with experience in asset lifecycle planning (ideally within utilities or infrastructure)
• Strong analytical capability, you’re comfortable working with data and turning it into meaningful insights
• Experience with systems like SAP, GIS or Power BI (or similar), and confidence working across multiple platforms
• Solid understanding of asset management principles, risk and infrastructure operations
• The ability to build strong working relationships and communicate clearly across the business
