LET’S EXPLORE THE ROLE
The Commercial Analyst is accountable for delivering strategic and commercial analysis to support informed decision making and assist in the development and delivery of BAI Australia’s growth strategy. Support high value projects in pursuit of these strategic objectives and ensure alignment to the delivery of value to our shareholders and customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing commercial support for large value growth initiatives, sales tenders and proposals; building pricing models to evaluate opportunities and assessments of potential commercial approaches.
- Scenario modelling to evaluate risk, sensitivities and upsides for a range of conceivable outcomes.
- Use detailed research and insights to run hypotheses and commercial evaluation of strategic options; analysing key strategic issues and outcomes and performing assessments that support or challenge the strategic direction of the business.
- Research use cases and applications of technology, value drivers and capabilities to support the development of products, solutions and compelling value propositions for customers.
- Support the Chief Commercial Officer, Director of Telco and Director of Broadcast and their teams in delivering outcomes to deliver strategic growth within BAI Australia
- Review new and emerging opportunities to assess their fit with BAI Australia’s strategy; commercial attractiveness for BAI and capability to win and deliver
- Support the development of the financial plans, annual plans, long term plans as required
- Producing clear and concise presentations suitable for audiences such as BAI Board and BAI Australia leadership team
- Support legal contract drafting for commercial considerations within new contract, and evaluation commercial elements of existing contract were required.
LET’S HEAR ABOUT YOU
You are an experienced commercial analyst with a history of working in a bid environment, modelling commercial information, including risk, that assists in supporting the decision-making process for business initiatives. As a strong communicator you will be able to present information that may challenge pre-determined assumptions to Executive, Board and C level stakeholders by offering clear and compelling commercial information.
You will work closely with a variety of stakeholders including engineers, pre-sales personnel, Board members.
- This role requires strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with senior executives.
- You will be required to demonstrate strong financial and commercial acumen and commercial experience
- CPA or CA qualifications will be very highly regarded
- You will be able to demonstrate competence in creating three-way commercial models and appraisals of strategic opportunities
- You will be required to demonstrate the application of critical thinking to complex business problems
