Three & Four Year Old Group Educator

Catjump Preschool is a sessional, not for profit community kindergarten offering programs for 3 and 4-year-old children. The preschool is situated in a quiet residential area with views from the playground to a pine tree reserve and community park. The kindergarten setting creates a natural and tranquil environment for the children to explore. The approved provider is the Catjump Pre-school Committee of Management (CoM).

Catjump Preschool is seeking a fun, energetic, and motivated Educator to join our friendly and supportive team. This opportunity is for terms 3 and 4, with a potential for on-going part-time employment. The position is 43 hours per fortnight with the weekly working hours being Tuesday 8:00am to 3:00pm, Wednesday 8:00am to 3:30pm and Thursday 8:00am to 3:00pm (21.5 hours per week). Working alongside the Early Childhood Teacher, you will assist with the delivery of our 3- and 4-year-old programs, fostering children’s learning and development in a positive, caring environment. The role includes building strong relationships with children, families, and staff, whilst contributing to maintaining a clean and safe facility. The ideal candidate will have experience in the early childhood sector, sound knowledge of VEYLDF, EYLF, NQS, and relevant legislation, demonstrate commitment to best practice and child safety, and possess strong communication, interpersonal, and time management skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and cloud-based tools and the ability to work effectively both independently and within a team are essential.

Must hold a minimum qualification of a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, as recognised by ACECQA. Hold an ACECQA compliant First Aid Certificate, including Resuscitation, Asthma Management, and Anaphylaxis (or willingness to obtain).
