About the opportunity
This is a great opportunity to gain exposure to the complete end to end residential process, under the guidance of experienced construction Supervisors. Your focus will be to develop the skills and competencies to manage residential construction from site start to handover, with a strong focus on delivering outstanding quality homes that exceed our customers' expectations. More specifically, your responsibilities will include:
- Developing project management skills under guidance from Construction Site Supervisors from site start to completion, forecasting and coordinating all onsite activities
- Ensuring jobs are ready for scheduled work to commence at each stage
- Monitoring site cleanliness, adhering to clean site policies and procedures
- Reporting any damage, accidents and/or delays on site to your Area Manager
- Providing fortnightly communication with clients on project progress using the Customer Portal, verbally and in writing
- Providing ongoing support to all stakeholders (clients, trades, internal staff, suppliers) to promptly rectify any issues effectively
- Supporting the completion of all works to a high standard and in accordance with contract terms and legislative requirements (NCC, Australian Standards)
- Foster positive working relationships and provide constructive feedback to trades and suppliers
About you
You will share a passion for our purpose and be aligned to our core values. In addition, you will demonstrate:
- Self-motivated and willingness to learn and develop new skills
- A Building Trade Certificate or tertiary education in Construction
- Previous experience in the construction industry
- Knowledge of the basic methods, practices, tools, materials and work standards related to the building of residential homes
- Excellent verbal and written communication and high attention to detail
- Ability to work autonomously and in a deadline-driven environment
