IT Desktop Support Engineer

Our client is a well-established manufacturing company seeking a motivated and customer-focused ICT Support professional to join their team. The primary function of the role is to provide professional and efficient support across all ICT systems and services within the business.

The successful candidate will be responsible for responding to IT support requests via phone, service desk tickets, remote assistance, and in-person support, ensuring timely issue resolution and a high level of customer service across the organisation.

What we're looking for!

  • Support and deliver ICT projects, including system enhancements and new technology implementations.
  • Identify opportunities for ICT innovation and continuous improvement aligned with business priorities.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of ICT policies, procedures, and documentation.
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of end-user equipment, including desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
  • Administer and support the Microsoft 365 technology stack.
  • Troubleshoot hardware (printers, boardrooms, telephony) and software issues to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Provide end-user support, onboarding, and training to maximize adoption and effective use of technology.
  • Manage and collaborate with ICT partners across regional and global teams.
  • Continuously learn and stay up to date with emerging technologies.
  • Provide On Site & Remote Support from 9:00AM - 5:30PM

Experience Required

  • 3+ years' experience in ICT support or similar roles.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in IT or a related field including Microsoft Exams.
  • Experience with networking technologies (e.g. Cisco, Azure, DNS, DHCP, On Prem Hardware).
  • Experience in cybersecurity tools and frameworks (e.g. Microsoft Defender, Firewalls, Essential Eight).
  • Experience in Servers from Azure, Hyper-V to On Prem.
  • Experience across the Microsoft ecosystem (M365, Azure, Teams, SharePoint, Intune, Exchange, MDM, Power Platform).
  • Experience with Active Directory Administration.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and documentation skills (e.g. Confluence).
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to deliver training, onboarding, and user guidance.
  • Experience using service desk platforms (e.g. Jira) and managing ticket workflows, including phone-based support.
