As we continue to grow, this role will be integral to establishing and embedding consistent Hotel Services across our network of homes. You will play a key role in standardising service delivery, lifting performance and ensuring a high-quality, resident-centred hospitality experience at scale.
About The Role
The General Manager – Hotel Services is responsible for the leadership, performance and standardisation of catering, cleaning and laundry services across the organisation.
This is a senior operational leadership role accountable for setting strategy, embedding governance and delivering consistent, high-quality hospitality services that enhance resident experience and meet regulatory requirements.
You will partner closely with General Managers of Operations, Residential Managers and clinical leaders to drive performance, compliance and continuous improvement across all homes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of hotel services across catering, cleaning and laundry
- Set and implement hospitality strategy, standards and operating models across all homes
- Ensure a consistent, resident-centred dining and service experience aligned to choice and dignity
- Own menu strategy, seasonal planning and implementation across the portfolio
- Partner with dietitians and clinical teams to improve nutrition and hydration outcomes
- Ensure compliance with food safety legislation and Aged Care Quality Standards (including Standard 6)
- Establish governance, audit and reporting frameworks across hospitality services
- Oversee cleaning and laundry standards, including infection prevention and outbreak response
- Lead supplier and contractor performance, including SLAs, compliance and value delivery
- Drive workforce capability, training and leadership across hospitality teams
- Manage budgets, productivity and cost control across labour, consumables and contracts
- Provide executive-level reporting on performance, risks and improvement initiatives
- Lead hospitality input into commissioning, new developments and major transitions
About You
- Senior leadership experience across hospitality or hotel services in aged care, healthcare or a regulated environment
- Proven ability to lead multi-site operations and drive standardisation and performance
- Strong expertise in food safety, compliance and risk management
- Experience managing complex supplier and contract arrangements
- Ability to influence at executive and operational levels
- Strong commercial acumen, including budgeting and cost optimisation
- Experience translating strategy into practical, site-level execution
- Data-driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
Requirements
- Food Safety Supervisor certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Relevant qualifications in hospitality or related field (desirable)
- Current driver licence
- National Police Check and required compliance clearances
