About the Position

We are excited to welcome a Youth Worker to our Nambour Individual Support Services team! In this role, you’ll be a trusted support person for children and young people navigating complex challenges; building genuine connections, boosting confidence, and helping them stay engaged with school, community, and life. Working with our Nambour team, you’ll deliver hands-on, practical support and short-term interventions that create meaningful, lasting impact for young people and their families.

  • Level 3 SCHCADS Award.
  • Salary range: $48.31 - $51.81 per hour + Superannuation.
  • Casual contract opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be a game-changer for young people: Build strong, trusting relationships and deliver impactful, time-limited support to children and youth facing high-risk, complex life situations.
  • Champion connection and belonging: Help young people engage with school, community, and healthy social networks; supporting confidence, wellbeing, and positive life skills.
  • Collaborate for real outcomes: Work alongside passionate professionals, families, and partner agencies to achieve meaningful goals and wrap-around support.
  • Get hands-on and make it happen: Provide practical support including transport, community access, and out-of-hours care; meeting young people where they are, when they need it most.

About You

  • Certificate IV in a relevant discipline (youth work, community services) or studying toward a relevant tertiary qualification.
  • At least two (2) years’ experience providing complex youth work to young people in a child protection context or who have experienced trauma and disruptions in attachment.
  • Eligibility to work in Australia (proof of eligibility required), including holding or obtaining required checks (Working with Children Check or professional exemption).
  • Current driver’s licence.
