About the Role
Research is a core pillar of SLHD service delivery, with a particular focus on clinical implementation research to bridge the gap between evidence and practice. SLHD aims to rapidly translate new scientific insights into improved patient care and outcomes across the district. To support the SLHD’s broader research vision, SLHD is sponsoring NiCHE-EBSA (Network for Coordinated Health-Education Interventions for Emotionally Based School Avoidance) in partnership with the University of Sydney. NiCHE-EBSA is supported by a Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF) Childhood Research Mental Health Grant.
The purpose of the Clinical Psychologist Research Coordinator role is to support the Chief Investigators in managing the NiCHE-EBSA project. The role integrates clinical responsibilities — such as providing case consultations and conducting psychological assessments with adolescents and families — with key research responsibilities including project management, data collection and resource development to ensure effective implementation and impactful outcomes.
