Field Operations Technician

Now Hiring: Telecommunications Rigger / Field Operations Rigger | Location: Canberra

We're recruiting an experienced Telecommunications Rigger to support reactive, preventative & corrective maintenance and upgrades across mobile network infrastructure (2G/3G/4G/5G).

What you'll be doing

• Reactive/corrective maintenance across sites, antennas, feeders, DC systems & site support systems
• Rigging & lifting activities: load assessment, slinging, cables/pulleys/tackle, temporary jib/derrick setup (as required)
• Preventative maintenance aligned to timeframes & quality metrics
• Site infrastructure support: temporary fixes (fences/obstructions), alarms/lights/fuses/AC troubleshooting
• Generator operations: refuelling, run-hours logging, and temporary generator connection to site
• Site folders/documentation + fault reporting + spare parts handling/storage
• After-hours / weekend on-call support as per business needs
• Maintain WHS compliance and safe work practices at all times

What we're looking for

• Strong telecom rigging background (or construction riggers with steel fixing experience considered)
• Comfortable climbing and working on towers (up to and above 100m) + medically/physically fit
• Fault analysis/diagnosis & corrective actions experience
• Preferred: Sweep testing and Distance To Fault + troubleshooting RTWP/MIMO/VSWR (advantage)
• MUST have Australian experience + valid work rights (PR/Citizen/permit to work)
