An exciting opportunity has become available for a skilled and motivated Duty Technician to join our experienced Engineering Team, playing a key role in maintaining the presentation, safety, and operational excellence of both properties.

Job Description

  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest maintenance requests.
  • Maintain external façades and high-traffic areas to ensure the hotels always look their best.
  • Conduct general maintenance and repairs
  • Assisting in basic plumbing, electrical, hydraulic, and air conditioning services.
  • Paint, repair, and maintain internal and external surfaces, furniture, and equipment to a high standard.
  • Prepare, mix, and apply paints, stains, and finishes using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Repair and install wall coverings, caulking, grouting, varnish, and lacquer finishes.
  • Work collaboratively with a supportive, knowledgeable engineering team.

Qualifications

  • A “can-do” attitude and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
  • Trade qualification advantageous
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Willingness to work across a 7-day rotating roster (penalty rates apply).
  • Ability to operate hand tools and small machinery safely.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team environment.
