Curriculum Administrator

Penrhos College

The College is seeking an experienced Curriculum Administrator to join our Secondary Administration team. This role will see you working closely with a key group of staff, led by the Secondary Administration Manager, to oversee the academic coordination & reporting responsibilities and requirements of the Penrhos Secondary School.

The Curriculum Administrator will support Senior Leadership and Secondary School Middle Managers by assisting in the development of and data checking of curriculum content and assessment.

This is a permanent full-time (1.0 FTE), term time only role, supporting curriculum coordination, assessment and reporting across the Secondary School.

This position works 41 weeks of the year (plus 4 weeks annual leave during term breaks) including:

  • Week 1 of the Term 2 holidays to ensure all reporting processes are met
  • Week 2 of the Term 3 holidays to cover Year 12 Mock Examinations

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing School Curriculum & Standards Authority (SCSA) processes and reporting, curriculum reporting and internal reporting
  • Overseeing testing and examinations including NAPLAN, OLNA, WACE etc.
  • Managing and administering special examination requirements as directed by College Counsellors
  • Working with Heads of Department to data check reports, examinations and information shared with parents.
  • Overseeing the management of Student Academic Reports, Student Conferences and Booklists.
  • Supporting the Dean of Academics & Future Pathways with subject selection processes and publication of awards.
  • Providing general administrative assistance as requested by the Secondary Administration Manager.

The successful applicants will have

  • Experience in school administration.
  • Experience in coordinating testing and examinations and associated reporting.
  • Experience managing SCSA processes and reporting.
  • Experience in Synergetic, Compass, SEQTA, Timetabler or similar is desirable but not essential.
  • Current National Police Clearance & Working with Children card (WWC)

The following essential criteria must be addressed with evidence in your cover letter:

  • Strong administrative skills, including coordinating testing and examinations and associated reporting
  • Experience managing SCSA processes and reporting
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrable experience analysing data, identifying trends and driving positive change within the role
  • Ability to work autonomously whilst consulting with leadership and the broader team
